What it is good for
Tinctures are the best way to receive the benefits of placental consumption long term. It is a good option for stress, hormone stabilization, increased milk supply and energy, and teething pain for newborns. It can also be saved for menopause or aid young women who are starting puberty balance hormones. Your tincture offers the same self-reported benefits as your capsules:
Increased energy
More stable mood
A decrease in the incidence of baby blues
A decrease in the incidence of postpartum depression
Improvement in the overall sense of well-being

How it is made
Tinctures have the highest yield and longest shelf life of all of the preservation techniques. In tincturing, the molecular structures of alcohols (usually ethanol) are similar to water and compete for protein hydrogen bonds thus replacing the intracellular water. The result is dehydration. The alcohols most commonly used for cellular fixation (preservation) are methanol and ethanol, but any high proof alcohol can be used.
I make tinctures with dehydrated placenta powder; this is considered making a mother tincture. It is less potent than a raw tincture but still beneficial. This ensures all bacteria are eliminated before consumption.
Tinctures take six weeks to create.
